Barbarossa Fishing is a Bay Area fishing charter based out of Santa Cruz and South San Francisco, California. Come and enjoy a day in nature as you explore the area’s beautiful and fish-rich nearshore and offshore waters. Barbarossa Fishing specializes in private 6-Pack fishing charters to catch Salmon, Tuna, Halibut, Rockfish, Lingcod, and Crab from Big Sur to San Francisco. We will provide you with all the rods, reels, tackle, bait, and lures. You only need to bring fishing licenses, sturgeon/crab tags when applicable, and the food and drinks of your choice.

Pick a date and choose per person or a private charter. Your captain, or by popular vote, will determine what to target. Options for this trip are halibut/striped bass or Shark. Offshore rockfish trips add $25 per person. Trips will depart out of the Oyster Point Harbor in South San Francisco and will last approximately 7 hours. Private charter $1,400 for up to 6 people. Only available March – May.

Pick a date for a private charter. Your captain, or by popular vote, will determine which species to target. Trips will depart out of the Santa Cruz Harbor and will last approximately 7 hours. Private charter $1,200 for up to 6 people.
Seasons are typically:
Rockfish/Lingcod: May 1st – Dec. 31st
Halibut: Open year round but best from May – October
Sharks: Open year round
Sand dabs/Sole: Open year round but we target them from Jan 1st until Rockfish or Salmon opens.
Salmon: Closed for 2024.

Bluefin tuna and possibly albacore: Season can be March – December, but is usually the best from October-November. Depends on weather forecast since we will be fishing between 20-80 miles offshore.
